Card reader
- Bring your own laptop.
- POWER DOWN the Zoom mixer and take out the SD card.
- Use our card reader to copy the files to your laptop.
- PLACE the SD card back into the mixer.

Self-service recording
Multitrack recording is part of every session. All our equipment is lined into our Zoom LiveTrak mixer, so you can record directly, overdub included.
Before you play
Key steps for recording

SD card is ready
An SD card is already inserted in the Zoom mixer.

Input & levels
Plug in instruments and mics. Use the GAIN knob to set levels, checking the meters sit in the green/orange range (around 0 dB).

Arm tracks
Press the RECORD (red circle) button on each channel you want to record. Make sure channels 1–12 and the Master Fader are armed.

Start recording
Press the master RECORD button, then press PLAY.

Stop recording
Press the STOP button.
After your jam
Two ways to take your recording home
Recordings are saved to the SD card. A multi-function card reader is available in the studio.
Option 2
USB direct to your laptop
- The USB cable is already connected to the Zoom. Plug the other end into your laptop.
- Set the device mode switch to “CARD READER” (middle option).
- Restart the Zoom mixer and copy the files.
Please note
- Want to mix it yourself? Copy the whole folder. Each track is RAW with no effects, ready for your own DAW. The WAV files are very large!
- Just want the jam? Copy only
MASTER.WAV. It's smaller and includes the mixer's effects. Faster and easier. - All recordings on our SD card are formatted weekly without notice, so copy your files on the day.
